“It’s the most vulnerable and ‘from the heart’ collection of songs I’ve ever released.”
22-year-old singer/songwriter Dane Bjornson is capping off the year with the release of his debut solo album Wondering which captures feelings of joy, gloom and self-discovery. The recording process for the album began in February 2019, to full completion in October 2020. Among the 7 songs there were 12 musicians, 5 engineers, and 4 different studios between the two cities he calls home: Winnipeg and Edmonton. He started performing in 2009, released his first EP by age 12 (Lucky Day), performed on national television with the band Electric Ave (The Next Star: SuperGroup), and is now studying music at MacEwan University in Edmonton. Dane’s been active across all of Manitobas favourite stages including The Burton Cummings Theatre (Show for the Philippines, 2013), BellMTS Place (Rockin’ for Choices Concert, 2012) and most recently in the production of Strike The Musical (Rainbow Stage 2019).
